Applications
The UFO-3AW is a low power consuming device that's easy to install. When AC power is flowing through the normal ballast, this emergency fluorescent ballast will be waiting on standby while charging its integral Ni-Cd battery unit. If your light is still too small, this emergency ballast can be installed to a nearby ceiling joist.
External Specifications
Constructed with galvanized electrical steel ballast comes with internal circulty that's protected by it's corrision resistant exterior. The RP3 has closed-toed mounting feet at either end for grounding to the joist or fixture. Input and output wiring bundles protrude from one side along with the LED charging indicator, which can install to the outside of the lighted fixture.
Electrical Specifications
If the installed fixture is on a switch or control board it's best to ensure that the 3AW is connected to a separate line voltage to ensure the battery is fully charged at all times. Note that the UFO-3AW works in tandem with the AC ballast, but does not replace it for normal use. Dual Lites lo CFL (4-pin) emergency transformer pack will light up two 2 foot or 4 foot T8, T10 or T12 linear fluorescent, long and short CFLs and U-shape T8 bulbs.
