In some educational insitutions, students are taught the basics of how to design building architecture. They also learn the ins and outs of things such as the best practices of withstanding tough weather conditions, both on the interior and exterior. Unfortunately, they are not taught the best methods of how to illuminate it. In particularly, how to make it's lighting system less vulnerable to elements and circumstances in emergency situations and save from malfunctions.
We at Ballast.com aren't teachers but, we can help supply a building's lighting system with solutions to ensure it has the power to function during an emergency situation. Our Barron electrical brand ballast provides both CFL and linear fluorescent lamps with moderate voltage, wattage and frequency in both outdoor and indoor applications.
Our XEB-420-CF model is has an instant start method which enables the lights to ignite once the ballast is firing all full capacity. This method is best for fixtures that aren't left on all day. It has a power capacity of 10-57 watts and dual voltage (120/277). It works best for one (1) or two (2) lamp fixtures.
This unique ballast can be mounted either on the top of the fluorescent lamp or through its electrical enclosure. It’s U.L. Listed for retrofit or factory installation. Also has capability to be mounted remotely by battery pack, as long as the distance doesn’t exceed ½ the distance between ballast and lamp.
Built in a painted steel case, the XEB-420-CF model not only can be used as an emergency mode but also for normal operation. Includes a battery, charger and electronic circuit.
In additional to having dual voltage (120/277V), this ballast has input wattage capacity of 3.5 and a minimum lumen output of 600-1300.
